Malacañang on Saturday insisted on an independent verification of former President and Pampanga Rep. Gloria Arroyo’s supposedly dire medical condition, before allowing her to seek medical treatment abroad. But a Palace official also quoted a medical expert as saying there are ‘capable physicians” in the country to perform the surgery that may be required.
